About Me

Danielle Power, DPT

Danielle Power, DPT

Physical Therapist

Danielle is a Physical Therapist and Elite athlete. She graduated from MGH IHP in Charlestown MA with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her clinical rotation at Lahey Health, she began certificate coursework in Pelvic Floor Therapy.  She went on to work as a pelvic floor specialist at various outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Boston area as well as the urogynecology department at Tufts Medical Center.

She recognized traditional pelvic health rehab was largely isolated from the rest of the body and became interested in taking a more expansive approach combining orthopedic and sports medicine concepts to her treatment.

Her background and pelvic floor certifications (Herman and Wallace level 1, 2a and 2b, the pregnancy and postpartum series etc) allow her to treat a multitude of pelvic floor conditions with both women and men. This includes pain syndromes, urinary and bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and pregnancy and postpartum conditions. She has a keen interest in working with pregnant and postpartum patients who are looking to manage an active lifestyle and/or return to sport.

Danielle’s lens as an elite athlete and background in sports medicine informs her progressive perspective to pelvic health. With a combination of evidenced based practice and clinical judgement, she strives to push beyond the traditional model of physical therapy and bridge the gap between rehab and return to performance with a patient-centric approach.

Outside of the clinic, Danielle is an Elite bike racer who enjoys living a lifestyle of consistent training and competition. When not riding, she is outside with her Yellow Labs named Dune and Tug, her Beagle Smuggler and backyard ducks.
